To those who have been asking for my self-portrait lighting set-up (the white background ones), as well as how my skin looks super clear in my pictures. It’s all about flattering light. I certainly do not have perfect skin - the areas around my nose and my mouth are rather reddish, and I have dark circles under my eyes due to bad cases of insomnia (but thank God for concealer and foundation). You can solve all these without the use of photoshop or airbrushing just by the kind of light that falls on your face. Here are veeery ordinary unprocessed photos of me for comparison. Try it out too. :)

Been working on editing backlog for the past couple of days, which sort of makes me want to quit school and do shiny photoshoots everyday. Haaa. Thesis, please do yourself, lol.

Home from yet another photoshoot. Hair by Ricky Diokno and make-up by Claire Diokno for Shu Uemura. For my eyes and cheeks, she used the new Tsumori Chisato x Shu Uemura Planet Cat Palette. The packaging is WAY adorable. The only thing that’s keeping me from getting it is the price tag! Anyhow, took this after I had dinner, so I used my own lipstick. More on that in my next entry. :)

UNO fashion show make-up by Annie of Make Up For Ever and hair by Jim of Loreal. I gave them pegs for make-up so they’ll know what to do to the models, and I asked to be given the same treatment too, for the lulz. Channeling the Taylor Momsen heavy eyeliner look - I’m not used to it! :))

Two new additions from the Yuletide Souk 09 bazaar at Rockwell yesterday. Wanted to get camera earrings and rings too, but I made sure I didn’t put lots of cash in my wallet so I wouldn’t splurge too much and so that I wouldn’t give in to impulsive shopping. Money conservation tactic. It never fails. :)
